Foodtruck Chippy chips

"Chippy Chips" is a converted horse trailer that brings freshly cooked traditional British fish and chips to the people of the Netherlands. All ingredients used are fresh, with hand-peeled, hand-cut, and double-fried potatoes for the perfect crisp exterior and soft center. The cod fish is supplied by Schmidt Zeevis, while the mushy peas, crispy batter, and gravy are all homemade. The dish is topped off with salt and malt vinegar and served in a newspaper-themed box with a wooden fork provided, without the use of any plastic.

The owner of Chippy Chips moved to Rotterdam nearly five years ago and was inspired by the city to bring a piece of their culture with them in the form of a mobile kitchen on wheels. They purchased a vintage truck from England, which had previously been used for horses and had it delivered to the Isle of Man. There, they worked on designing and building the truck with the help of their father. After much hard work and perseverance, the truck was ready for the journey to Rotterdam, where the Chippy Chips dream became a reality.

The owner of Chippy Chips loves how food can bring people together, whether it's someone experiencing the dish for the first time or it's a reminder of the British part of them. Their hope is to continue making people smile with their delicious, traditional British fish and chips.
